Sponsorship, exhibition and advertising opportunities with SCIS

A number of advertising, exhibition and sponsorship opportunities are available throughout the year, giving organisations a platform to promote their products and services to the key decision makers in independent schools in Scotland. Advertising opportunities in SCIS directory of independent schools in Scotland

In September/October each year, SCIS produces a directory of its member schools. The publication, aimed primarily at prospective parents, is also used as a reference tool by member schools and other organisations in the public and private sector. The directory has a print run of around 5,000. Full colour adverts are priced from £1,000+ depending on the position and cover positions are £1,600. Advertisers also benefit from an exhibition stand, at no extra charge, at SCIS' Annual Conference for which details are given, below. Exhibition space at SCIS Annual Conference and AGM

SCIS' Annual conference and AGM usually attracts around 100 delegates (Heads, Bursars and some Governors) from member schools. The venue is the Hilton Grosvenor Hotel, Edinburgh. The event is usually held on the last or penultimate Friday in April - 2014's date is to be confirmed. Time is allocated in the programme for delegates to browse exhibition stands and exhibitors are welcome to join delegates for lunch. The price is £500+VAT, which is non-negotiable, although we offer a charity discount of 10%. Stands are free of charge to those who take an advert in the SCIS directory of independent schools - advertising rates are available below.

Note: There is room for a maximum of 15 exhibition stands and we take bookings on a first come, first served basis - although we permit only one exhibitor per industry sector to avoid competition. The ceiling height in the exhibitors' lounge is sufficient to allow a 'pop up'  display stand with lights attached. Each exhibitor has approximately 4 feet of space (in width) although we don't mark out exact dimensions. The event is informal and relaxed and we simply provide a small round table (or a trestle table if preferred) and two chairs for each exhibitor. Sockets are positioned around the edge of the room which means that each exhibitor has access to a power supply, if required. It's up to each exhibitor to bring display materials that make their stand engaging and to send staff who are willing to step forward and interact with delegates. While we give exhibitors a list of schools that are attending the event in advance, we do not give out individual's names or email addresses.
