This new course aims to prepare group leaders for school trips at home and abroad through the following aims:
- Be aware of Child Protection in the context of International Visits
- Build on your experience, extend your knowledge of the definitions of abuse and update on legal changes
- Ensure confidence in determining thresholds, taking appropriate action and recording.
- Examine digital safety issues and the risks they pose to children and young people
- Reinforce issues around safe practice on trips
The course will be presented by Dr Susan Hamilton from Edinburgh City Council.
