This inaugural Deputes' conference will provide the opportunity for Deputes across the sector to network with colleagues and share practice.

The morning's session on Relationship Management (‘Dealing with those tricky issues') will be led by Emma Bell. This highly acclaimed course will cover the psychology of behaviour and how to influence and engage others effectively and handle difficult conversations to a successful conclusion.

The focus of the afternoon will be on Emerging Technologies and will include a presentation on ‘Emerging Technologies and Learning' delivered by Derek Robertson, National Adviser for Emerging Technologies at Education Scotland. This will be followed by a focused discussion considering the impact of ICT systems and strategic planning in ICT. The discussion will provide colleagues with the opportunity to share practice in this area.
