This seminar, presented by Create Consultancy, aims to develop the skills and knowledge of delegates to teach about drugs and alcohol in a secondary school setting in line with current evidence and best practice.
After the seminar it is hoped that delegates will:
· Recognise their own and other attitudes to drug and alcohol use
· Be able to outline appropriate goals for drug and alcohol education
· Understand the available research evidence on effective drug/alcohol education
· Have experienced a number of practical classroom activities
· Have considered how to respond to difficult issues when delivering lessons on drugs & alcohol
