 Once Upon a Time...
...there was the 2011 SCIS English Conference.

10 a.m. - 3.30 p.m.
Registration and Coffee from 9.30 a.m.

This year's Conference speakers are: 

    Rob Maslen( Senior Lecturer at Glasgow University) - on Shakespeare and Young People.

    Keith Gray (author and Guardian reviewer) - Creative Writing Workshop.

    Colin Eckford (Chief Examiner in Higher English) - on the Higher Writing Folio.

    Nick Hennessey - the Storyteller.

There will be a split session in the morning, during which delegates will attend either Colin Eckford's talk on the Higher Writing Folio or Keith Gray's Writing Workshop.

Send two delegates and cover both sessions.

Cost - £55 per delegate.

DIRECTIONS: 

Kelvinside Academy is situated in Glasgow's West End at 33 Kirklee Road.

It can be accessed by taxi from either Hillhead Underground Station or Anniesland Railway Station.

Alternatively, if the weather is fine, walk from Hillhead Underground:

-  Turn right as you exit Hillhead Underground and walk to the junction of Byres Road and Great Western Road.
-  At the junction, turn left by firstly crossing Byres Road and then crossing to the far side of Great Western Road.
-  Proceed up Great Western Road until you reach Kirklee Road.
-  Turn right down Kirklee Road and keep going until you arrive at Kelvinside Academy.
