To help schools which are registered charities prepare to pass the charity test, SCIS plans to run workshops throughout 2010.
An update on the latest developments will be included. Each workshop will be attended by one of the schools which has previously been reviewed, so that others can benefit from its experience. We also hope to be in a position to share OSCR's proposals for a new style of rolling review.
At previous workshops on this theme, delegates found that a mixed group - Heads, Bursars, Governors, SMT, Marketing and Admissions Managers - made for a particularly useful discussion about preparations to pass the charity test.
The venue is the SCIS Boardroom at 21 Melville Street, Edinburgh EH3 7PE. Registration and coffee at 9:30 for 10:00am and each workshop will conclude at 1:00pm with a sandwich lunch.
