9.00am-5.00pm Bike Maintenance Cost: £75
A one day course run by Glenmore Lodge, which equips the Mountain Biker with all the
necessary skills to set up, maintain and fix their bikes in the workshop or on the trail.
The course will start at 9.00am with some introductions and theory. We will then continue in the
workshop and outside if weather allows and spend time practising as much as we can. We will try to
cover all the basics including bike set up and the maintenance and fixing of headsets, wheels, hubs,
bottom brackets, chain sets, gears and brakes.
The course is very much about training in a relaxed atmosphere to provide a forum for discussion and
sharing of ideas and experiences. We hope to not only train and inspire you but to give you the
confidence to tinker around with your own bike.

Donald MacNaughton, Zoned in Performance Cost: £55
A half day course providing a practical introduction into a range of approaches and
techniques from the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and how these can be
applied within Outdoor Education. The programme will look at using NLP as a tool to work with
young people particularly in the context of outdoor education, including techniques for enriching
communication, building confidence, overcoming anxiety/fear, getting focused and setting goals. The
workshop will include practical activities with plenty of material to think about.
Donald MacNaughton, who is based in Aviemore, works extensively with athletes and coaches at the top level and uses a lot of tried and tested techniques to make NLP accessible. Whilst the session will focus on using NLP in outdoor activities, sports coaches will also find the session highly relevant.
