This is a practical and enjoyable one-day workshop for all P3-P7 teachers who wish to teach lasting and transferable problem solving skills in their class, small groups or across the curriculum. Participants engage in a powerful learning experience and gain knowledge of a research-proven method of teaching problem solving. You will learn three powerful thinking models which children can use to think through any problem in their life at home and school, as well as discussing and giving examples of cross curricular application and good practice.

All participants will leave with some lesson plans ready for use within the whole class, group or in a cross-curricular activity and feel confident in grading the activity for the individual child. All participants will deepen their awareness of the research and classroom practice which show that significant results can be achieved by using a structured learning programme along with carefully selected readily available board games to teach problem solving strategies.

The presenter will be Audrey MacNab of Mindlab Scotland.
