The morning session will be led by Create Consultancy who have delivered a number of very successful SCIS courses on a variety of Health Education topics. Create Consultancy will look at best practice around Health and Wellbeing programmes in the light of key policies such as Curriculum for Excellence and current research. The session will include opportunities to consider tools for the planning, delivery and review of Health and Wellbeing in a whole school environment. The session will include examples relevant to both primary and secondary.
The afternoon session will focus on Emotional Intelligence and will be led by Dr Martin Williams. This session will outline the ingredients of an Emotionally Intelligent School and point to ways that schools can develop Emotional Intelligence in their students as a ‘Whole School Concern' and within the Health & Wellbeing branch of Curriculum for Excellence.
