Quality Assurance & Moderation in CfE : Early, 1st & 2nd Levels

The day will be led by the Quality Assurance and Moderation Team in Education Scotland.
Quality Assurance and Moderation helps to support teachers and build expertise and capacity in the education system. Through sharing, understanding and applying standards and expectations, quality assurance and moderation helps to raise standards and levels of consistency across teachers and schools.
This event will give delegates an opportunity to share their understanding and experience of moderation in practice.
The programme will include:
- Overview of quality assurance and moderation processes
- Update on work being developed at present through Education Scotland to support the moderation process
- ‘Participation in Moderation activities - the opportunities and challenges it presents' : a presentation from staff at The High School of Glasgow Junior School who have been involved in the development of NAR material
- Practical moderation activity- materials for this activity will be provided in advance
- The opportunity for delegates to bring along their own exemplars to discuss
