Estimated cost per delegate: £  330 per 2 days 

This highly-acclaimed leadership development course is again being offered to aspiring school leaders from both primary and secondary schools. It is a residential course, comprising 4 2-day periods over 4 terms.   There will be a maximum of 20 delegates, who will be expected to attend all eight days of the course.

Presentations, workshops and discussions will be led by current SCIS heads, together with leading trainers in the field. Background reading will be an essential part of the course, but there will be no assessment requirements.

Topics to be covered will include: Leadership Styles, Managing Teams, Leadership for Learning, Employment Law, Planning for Effective Improvement, Performance Review, Managing Yourself, Managing School Budgets, Interview Skills, Marketing Schools, Crisis Management.

Days 1 & 2 will cover the following topics:

 - Introduction to Leadership: Nicola Dudley of SCIS

 - Team Development through delegation: Dr Jeff Jones

 - Effective Performance Management Reviews: Dr Jeff Jones

Further dates are   :

Days 3 & 4:  Thursday 2 and Friday 3 February  2012

Days 5 & 6:   Thursday 3 and Friday 4 May 2012

Days 7 & 8:  27 & 28 September  2012

** NB  Please note that by registering for Days 1 & 2, you are registering for the entire 8 day course, and no further registration will be needed for the rest of the course.
