This workshop will be led by Cathy Richards, Clinical Psychologist, and Rob Wrate, Clinical Psychiatrist.
The workshop aims to:
- Raise awareness of the impact of adolescent depression
- Indicate how to recognise the signs of depression in young people
- Explore the kinds of questions to ask young people about their state of mind
- Consolidate knowledge and promote use of School support and referral mechanisms
An important element will be the input of delegates, who will be asked to share with the group welfare issues that they have encountered at school.
Cathy and Rob have run SCIS Student Welfare seminars for many years on Saturday mornings. This workshop is the first of a series to be offered mid-week during this session - providing an opportunity for staff who have been unable to attend previously, to participate.
Numbers are limited to 20, so early registration is recommended.
Cost per delegate: £ 55
Please register by 5 November
