The GDPR: implications for Admissions/Marketing and Registrars: The New Data Protection Regime Introduces Significant New Obligations (and Obstacles) for Schools
The upcoming General Data Protection Regulation comes into effect in May 2018 and comprehensively re-writes the rules on data protection, consent, retention of data, subject access, record keeping, data security, all backed by a significantly increased fine regime.
The morning session will be dedicated to the GDPR. Gilson Gray LLP in partnership with SCIS is proud to present a dedicated overview of the impact of the Regulation for colleagues involved in admissions/marketing. In addition to the overview there will be an opportunity to discuss recurring issues and solutions to areas including:
- Social media
- Record retention
The afternoon session will be facilitated by a PR/Media Consultant and will focus on “Engaging with your Market”.
Opportunities for networking will be built in throughout the day.
