Cancellation and refund policy

  • Cancellations must be advised in writing/email 6 working days prior to the event.
  • We welcome substitute delegates attending in your place at no additional cost.
  • A refund will not be granted if a registrant fails to attend or cancels within 6 working days prior to the event.
  • For residential courses cancellation must be advised 28 days prior to the event.

Course Description

This annual conference will provide the opportunity for important updates and discussion.  All staff involved in providing advice and support to senior pupils in preparing for the next stage and putting together applications for higher education are warmly invited to attend.

The day will be comprised of a number of elements:

Undergraduate Admissions

We are delighted to have secured input from two Universities: Abertay and The University of Edinburgh.  Both of these institutions will share current developments and the University perspective on undergraduate study.  There will be a key focus on helping students develop the skills they will need to navigate the transition to university and for us all to consider what could be done to prepare students for what is coming while they are still at school.

Developing Skills

Karen Glen, Curriculo Solutions, will provide an overview of The Introduction to Skills for Work Programme and explore how it could be integrated into schools.

Studying in the USA

Firstpoint USA,  provide assistance with scholarships and admissions to USA universities. They will provide an overview of their service.

Community of Practice

Colleagues in the sector will share current developments in their schools – this will provide a catalyst for round table discussions.
