Thursday 15 November
The programme on Thursday will be comprised of three themes:
Session One: Inspiring Confidence with Sustainability
Scott Goddard, Director Live-N-Learn - https://live-n-learn.co.uk/ will provide an opening keynote to the Conference. Live-N-Learn’s Mindset Matters is a sustainable ‘whole school’ primary package for developing a ‘Growth Mindset’ culture, building resilience & raising expectations. Whilst debate surrounds the evidence of Growth Mindset, Scott will share his vison and role of Heads in this context.
Session Two: Sharing of Good Practice
We will be joined by Kirsten McCrossan., Company Director of The Drama Box. Kirsten will lead a session:
'The Drama Box: Supporting your Staff, Inspiring your Students'
In addition, colleagues are invited to share current initiatives and approaches in their schools.
Session Three: Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing: Focus on Self-harm
With an increasing number of primary-aged children self-harming, this session will explore proactive approaches to tackling a very current and relevant issue for young people. The session will be led by Satveer Nijjar who is the founder of Attention Seekers? ( http://satveernijjar.com/ )
The session will take an interactive and informative approach sharing how school leaders can create a culture to reduce stigma, raise awareness and build confidence and knowledge.
