Cancellation and refund policy

  • Cancellations must be advised in writing/email 6 working days prior to the event.
  • We welcome substitute delegates attending in your place at no additional cost.
  • A refund will not be granted if a registrant fails to attend or cancels within 6 working days prior to the event.
  • For residential courses cancellation must be advised 28 days prior to the event.

Course Description

Focus on the Inclusive Classroom, Practitioner Enquiry and Sharing Good Practice

All probationers are warmly invited to attend the day which will provide a valuable opportunity for networking with other probationers and discussion around some key topics. 

The programme will be comprised of three main sessions:

Session One and Two

Developing the Inclusive Classroom

Meeting the needs of children and young people with ASN is embedded in the Standard for Full Registration.  This workshop will be led by Dianne Cantali. Dianne is a Lecturer in the School of Education and Social Work, University of Dundee and is currently the Programme Director for the Master of Education programme. Prior to commencing at Dundee, she held a teaching post as an Inclusion Teacher, specialising in teaching children with Autism and with Learning Difficulties.  

Probationers are invited to pre-submit anonymised case studies and Dianne will use these to facilitate discussion and solution-focussed strategies.

Session Three 

Completing the Probationary Period: Undertaking Practitioner Enquiry

Colleagues from the GTCS, will outline a model that can be used in schools to support practitioner enquiry.  In June, 2019, probationers will be invited to the GTCS to share their enquiries.
