Focus on: ASN and Practitioner Enquiry
Developing the Inclusive Classroom
Meeting the needs of children and young people with ASN is embedded in the Standard for Full Registration. This workshop will be led by Dianne Cantali. Dianne is a Lecturer in the School of Education and Social Work, University of Dundee and is currently the Programme Director for the Master of Education programme. Prior to commencing at Dundee, she held a teaching post as an Inclusion Teacher, specialising in teaching children with Autism and with Learning Difficulties.
Probationers are invited to pre-submit anonymised case studies and Dianne will use these to facilitate discussion and solution-focussed strategies.
Following this, participants will have an opportunity to shadow colleagues in an ASN school.
Completing the Probationary Period: Undertaking Practitioner Enquiry
Jacqueline Morley, Senior Education Officer from the GTCS, will outline a model that can be used in schools to support practitioner enquiry. In June, 2018, probationers will be invited to the GTCS to share their enquiries with one being selected to go forward to the national probationer event.
***Please register as soon as possible and by Friday 16 February at the latest.***
