For School Leaders/Heads of Pastoral Care
During September 2019, the DFM updated the Scottish Parliament on Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) Practice Development Panel's final report - https://www.gov.scot/publications/getting-right-child/. This statement concluded with the statement “ …. we continue to be fully committed to Getting it right for every child”. Following this statement, in October, an open letter was issued to stakeholders confirming this commitment. This letter can be accessed here. Scottish Government are now in the process of refreshing practice guidance/support materials and engaging with a range of bodies.
This day has been constructed to allow colleagues to gain a first-hand insight into the national perspective with colleagues from Scottish Government providing an overview and associated timelines. In addition to this, delegates will hear from a range of third-sector organisations about their input into partnership working in this context. Finally, the SCIS perspective will be explored with an update on the modification of sector guidance and sharing of current practice from member schools.
In addition to this, delegates will hear from a range of third-sector organisations about their input into partnership working in this context. We are delighted to welcome representatives from:
