For – Women at all levels: aspiring and developing leaders
We are delighted to welcome Jill Berry to Scotland to lead this day of professional learning. Jill is the former Head of Dame Alice Harpur School in Bedford. Since leaving headship in 2010, she has worked as an Associate for the National College for Teaching and Leadership, carried out a range of educational consultancy work and completed a part-time Doctorate in Education, researching the transition from deputy headship to headship.
Her book, ‘Making the Leap: Moving from Deputy to Head’, was published by Crown House in January 2017.
Jill will lead two sessions:
Making the leap - why might you want to?
Making the leap - how you can prepare.
The afternoon session will focus on 'Sharing our stories' where serving Middle Leaders, Senior Leaders and Heads will talk about their own experiences of managing the transition.
The day will conclude with Jill facilitating a session of structured reflection where delegates will be guided to consider 'what next?'
This event will be of interest to aspiring middle leaders, aspiring senior leaders and aspiring heads.
Please register as soon as possible and by Friday 9 February at the latest.
