Public information about independent schools in Scotland
Open, transparent and consultative, the Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS) is engaged in a range of public information/public affairs work, liaising with many Government departments and public bodies to advance education.
The significant contribution that SCIS and staff in its member schools make to curriculum and wider educational developments is highlighted and the public benefit provided by independent schools in Scotland is explained and demonstrated in this section of the SCIS website.
The SCIS Information Service is well used by parents, the general public, and the press. SCIS regularly liaises with Scottish and U.K. media, responding to enquiries about the independent schools sector in Scotland. An archive of recent press releases is available to download on these pages.
Enquiries should be made to Judith Sischy or Sarah Randell on 0131 220 2106.
