About the School
Heriot's is a unique place - its historic building is a jewel in the crown of Scottish architecture, and it houses a School still firmly rooted in its charitable purpose, through its Foundaiton, through bursarial aid and through the outstanding Voluntary Service of its pupils.
Heriot's achieves excellent exam results: it has an unparalleled range of sports; it demonstrates both inclusiveness and excellence in its Music, Art and Drama. Most importantly, and over-arching all these things is our ethos, best summed up as 'Work hard. Be kind. Be happy.'
There is no doubt that Heriot's pupils, parents and staff subscribe to these important aspirations, ideas which are backed up by wonderful personal guidance and clear disciplinary guidelines.
