Vacancy Description / Summary

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced environment in one of Scotland’s top independent Schools?

We are seeking a pro-active and energetic individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to lead the Development, Marketing and Admissions Department. The main duties will include providing strategic direction to enhance the profile and funds of the School and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the fundraising, marketing, alumni relations and admissions functions within the School. Additional Information
This is a permanent, full-time post. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with occasional evening and weekend work to support School events.

Annual Leave
25 days’ paid leave entitlement plus 8 customary days.

Child Protection
The role may involve contact with pupils. Training in child protection will be provided. It is a condition of employment that the successful applicant must be registered with Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme.

About the School

St Columba’s is an HMC, non-denominational School founded in 1897, initially as a School for Girls. It has been co-educational since 1982 with equal numbers of boys and girls. The School currently holds Investor in People status at Gold level.

There has been significant investment in facilities, including the opening of an additional Junior School building in 2001. In recent years, a number of major developments of the School’s facilities have been undertaken including: the refurbishment of the Science building; the replacement of the Astro turf hockey pitch; and a major development of the Junior School grounds as well as an extension to the Senior School which includes a pastoral care suite, a new library, 13 new classrooms and faculty bases.
