Vacancy Description / Summary

The High School of Dundee is one of Scotland’s leading independent schools and is among the oldest in the United Kingdom. It is the largest independent school in Tayside and Fife. The School caters for boys and girls aged 3-18 and has a current roll of 1086 of whom 67 are in Nursery, 347 are in Junior Years and 672 in the Senior Years. It is the only independent school in Dundee and is situated in the heart of the City. The High School has a long history of academic success and its results in public examinations place it amongst the top ten schools, and often the top three to six, in the country.

The High School of Dundee are seeking suitably qualified and dynamic teachers for this permanent post tenable from August 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applicants must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland or eligible for registration.

Salary is according to High School of Dundee salary scales which are above the national scales.
