Vacancy Description / Summary
We are looking to appoint a capable and enthusiastic IT Manager who would be responsible for the school’s IT Network. This will include, but is not limited to: servers, cables, PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, photocopiers, communications cabinets, CCTV, school phone system, main school database, and other software used by the school. The person appointed is responsible for IT business continuity on site and reports directly to the Bursar.
The successful applicant will have a high level of IT knowledge, ideally with experience of working in a school environment, and excellent communication skills. Technical problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.
This post is full-time, and is available from the 30th of September or earlier, as agreed.
IT positions are not teaching appointments, and although patterns of working will be affected by academic term dates, many tasks are best undertaken when normal classes are not in operation. The exact contract offered will be negotiable, dependent on terms, qualifications and experience. Salary likely to be in the region of £40k.
