Vacancy Description / Summary

Craigholme is a Senior School for girls, with a coeducational Nursery and Junior School. Founded in 1884, Craigholme is the only remaining all-girls senior school in the West of Scotland. We strongly believe in our small class, single-sex approach and our girls’ academic performance is proof of its value.

We seek a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama to teach classes from S1 up to Advanced Higher level.

Drama operates within the Expressive Arts Faculty which comprises Art & Design, Drama, Health and Food Technology and Music.

The post is full-time and would suit either a new or an experienced teacher.

The school aims to bring out the best in every pupil, combining high standards of teaching and a superb extra-curricular programme within an inclusive and caring ethos. Art, drama, music, public speaking and sport flourish, together with a range of clubs and societies. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school is essential.

The salary is in line with SNCT rates and will be dependent on experience.

The post is tenable from 28 January 2019. A completed application form, available from the School’s website, and covering letter should be sent to the Executive Headmaster, Mr Ian Munro, as soon as possible and by noon on Wednesday 12 December. Early applications are encouraged and the School reserves the right to complete the recruitment process at their discretion.
