Vacancy Description / Summary
Craigholme is a Senior School for girls, with a coeducational Nursery and Junior School. Founded in 1884, Craigholme is the only remaining all-girls senior school in the West of Scotland. We strongly believe in our small class, single-sex approach and our girls’ academic performance is proof of its value.
We seek a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of English to teach from S1 up to Advanced Higher level.
English operates within the English and Languages Faculty which comprises English and Modern Languages (French, Spanish and S6 options for German and Italian). The Faculty team of 6 is led by a Head of Faculty.
The post is for a minimum of 0.5FTE however, for the right candidate more teaching may be available. The post would suit either a new or an experienced teacher.
The school aims to bring out the best in every pupil, combining high standards of teaching and a superb extra-curricular programme within an inclusive and caring ethos. Art, drama, music, public speaking and sport flourish, together with a range of clubs and societies. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school is essential.
The salary is in line with SNCT rates and will be dependent on experience.
