Duty Nurse (Band 5-6)

Independent Boarding School in Edinburgh

A unique opportunity has arisen to become part of the Medical Team located in the beautiful grounds of Fettes College in Edinburgh.
Term time working in accordance with the school timetable, the diverse role as Duty Nurse involves various expertise such as Practice Nursing, School Nursing, Mental Health, minor ailments, and sports injuries for the daily workload. Training for these areas is available but the applicant must have suitable experience in at least 2 of the areas.
Working from a rota, the Duty Nurse must be able to cover 24/7 shifts, work with the other 4 Duty Nurses and 1 Charge Nurse plus the Multi-disciplinary team which includes pastoral care, GPs, etc. Confident decision making, excellent communicator and multi-tasking are essential parts of the role.
