SCIS Annual Conference 2027

The SCIS Annual Conference – the flagship event for our sector - will take place at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Thursday 22 April 2027  

We are thrilled to bring together an exceptional line-up of highly distinguished speakers from the worlds of business, governance and politics.

The morning will feature Andrew Murphy CBE, Group Chief Executive of TEAL Group, the UK’s leading specialist toy business, and former Group Chief Operating Officer of the John Lewis Partnership. Drawing on extensive senior leadership experience, Andrew will explore what it takes to lead successfully through times of change and economic uncertainty.

We will also hear from Richard Harman, formerly Chief Executive of the Association of Governing Bodies of Independent Schools (AGBIS), who will bring his considerable expertise to one of the most important issues facing schools today: the vital role of strong governance in challenging times.

Our afternoon keynote speaker will be the Rt Hon Humza Yousaf, former First Minister of Scotland. In what promises to be a compelling and thought-provoking session, Humza will speak about leading with hope and purpose and engage directly with delegates.

This flagship event is open to Heads, Bursars and Chairs, and every member school has three places at no cost.
