Event Description

We invite you to an online briefing with Disclosure Scotland, offering essential updates on recent and upcoming changes to disclosure legislation. This session is suitable for senior leaders, HR teams, PVG countersignatories (CSGs), and staff involved in recruitment or safeguarding.

The session will cover:

  • The legal duty to refer – what it is and when it applies
  • Key updates to the Disclosure (Scotland) Act, including the new five‑year PVG scheme membership
  • Online access for CSGs and what this means for schools
  • Wider implications for recruitment, safeguarding and compliance

This will help your school:

  • Meet statutory safeguarding and compliance requirements
  • Understand how new processes will affect recruitment and PVG checks
  • Prepare for the transition to five‑year PVG membership

There will also be time for Q&A with Disclosure Scotland representatives.
