Event Description

We are delighted to offer a solution‑focused professional learning session exploring how outdoor learning can be effectively embedded across the secondary curriculum. Grounded in current national policy and informed by recent research, this session examines the key barriers and facilitators that influence successful implementation in secondary schools.
Participants will engage in collaborative case‑study discussions, reflect on practice in their own settings, and consider how international approaches to outdoor learning can broaden perspectives and inspire meaningful next steps.
This session is designed for school leaders and all subject teachers with an interest in developing or strengthening outdoor learning provision. The session covers:
  • Current national policies shaping outdoor learning
  • Key insights from recent research
  • Practical challenges and enabling factors in real‑world school contexts
  • Case‑study discussions with peer collaboration
  • Opportunities to share your own experiences and approaches
  • International comparisons to spark new ideas and future planning
We are delighted to welcome Mr Gary Reid to lead this session.
