Administration Manager
Kelvinside Academy is a successful independent school with a 140-year history. We seek an outstanding person for the newly created senior role of Administration Manager to oversee data management and secretarial services as well as management of the Rector’s office.

You will have excellent people management skills, strong IT capabilities and ability to thrive in a busy and demanding environment. Reporting to the Rector, the Administration Manager will be responsible for all pupil data management and ensure the smooth running of Reception and provision of secretarial support in the Senior School.

The role centres upon building a strong and cohesive Admin Team at Reception as well as overseeing all data input and maintenance of our Management Information System, (iSAMS). You need to be energetic and enthusiastic with outstanding communication and organisational skills. Previous experience in a similar role within the education sector would be beneficial, but proven people skills and ability to be a team player are more important.

Main Areas of Responsibility
• Administrative and organisational support to the Rector
• Management of all pupil data and iSAMS MIS
• Act as Data Protection Officer and lead GDPR compliance measures
• Overall management of all aspects of Reception and all related services
• Oversee provision of administrative support to Senior School Leadership Team and teaching staff

Key Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
• Demonstrable track record of effective customer relations and people skills
• First class organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to thrive in a pressurised environment
• Systematic in approach to tasks, with great attention to detail
• Advanced IT skills including experience of using a MIS and Microsoft Office
• Be an empathetic team leader with a very positive and ‘can do’ attitude

Normal working hours are 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, however, the successful applicant will be expected to be flexible and work additional hours around school events. This is a senior role and the remuneration package will reflect the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
