Event Description

Strengthening Retention at a Critical Stage in Education

S6 and Sixth Form retention is an increasingly important focus for schools across the sector. Ensuring pupils remain engaged and continue their journey through to completion presents both challenges and valuable opportunities.
This webinar invites Heads of S6, Sixth Form to come together to explore practical strategies and discuss how we can collectively strengthen retention at this crucial stage.

We are delighted to welcome Philip Ford, Head of S6, High School of Glasgow. Philip will introduce START—an innovative entrepreneurial programme developed at the High School of Glasgow, which has played a key role in strengthening pupil retention and engagement among senior students.

We would like to hear from as many schools as possible during the session about the ways in which the sector can firmly establish itself as one which prides itself on retention of pupils at this critical stage in their education. If you would like to present an initiative from your school during this session, please get in touch by emailing Kirsten.hamilton@scis.org.uk by June 12
